How To “Get Saved” In the Name of Jesus Christ

With today’s world going down the gutter, now is a good of time as any to get “saved”.

What takes less than 15 minutes can seal your fate for eternity – for the good. All you have to do is believe in Jesus Christ, pray for forgiveness of your sins, get IMMEDIATELY baptized in the name of  Jesus Christ upon very first believing in him (1st Century Christians were ALWAYS baptized IMMEDIATELY upon believing in Jesus Christ or shortly thereafter), repent of your sins (that means give them up and STOP doing them), and CONTINUE to follow all of Jesus Christ’s commands in the bible [10 commandments + Sermon on the Mount teachings in Matthew chapter 5 to 7 + ALL new testament teachings in New Testament, (including 7th Day BIBLICAL Sabbath and 7 BIBLICAL HOLIDAYS) and you’re saved! That’s it!

“All those who believe and are baptized will be saved but those who do not believe will be condemned” – Mark 16:16

How? Simple.

1. Pray something along the lines of the following prayer down below at the bottom of this list. But make sure to pray the prayer in your OWN personal way. Don’t just repeat the words. Pray to Jesus in your OWN heart and with your OWN words/wording!

2. Truly mean that prayer with all your heart, soul and MIND!

3. Get baptized in the name of Jesus Christ (full water immersion baptism in a lake, river, bathtub full of water or swimming pool: “sprinkling baptisms” are NOT biblical)

4. Pray for forgiveness of ALL sins in your life

5. REPENT/give up your sins/sinful lifestyle(s) and OBEY Jesus’s teachings in the bible [10 commandments + ALL New Testament teachings)

6. FORSAKE all things Pagan, such as the “non-biblical Sunday sabbath”, the modern day UNBIBLICAL “church building and services” (as biblically, the TRUE “church” is the BODY/ASSEMBLY OF BELIEVERS THEMSELVES, NOT A BUILDING!!!!) and PAGAN HOLIDAYS such as Easter, Christmas, Halloween, etc.

7. PARTAKE of the BIBLICAL, HOLY SANCTIFIED BY GOD/JESUS CHRIST 7th DAY SABBATH (Saturday) and the Lord’s 7 ANNUAL FEASTS outlined in Leviticus 23 (such as Passover/Feast of Unleavened Bread, Pentecost, etc.) Because remember that Jesus Christ and his disciples STILL celebrated them during the time(s) of the New Testament and (as far as my spiritual knowledge goes), possibly even IN the Millennial Kingdom (ie. Feast of Tabernacles) since the 7 BIBLICAL FEASTS celebrate HIM (Jesus Christ Almighty). Now tell me: what do Easter bunnies, painted eggs, Santa Claus, cooked hams and Halloween costumes have to do with Jesus? Answer: ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!

8. CONTINUE to have faith in Jesus Christ and to serve him to the best of your ability until the day you die and you’re saved for eternity and assured a one-way ticket to eternal paradise with Jesus Christ someday! It’s THAT simple!

“Jesus, please show me what’s true and what’s not true, when it comes to all biblical teaching, today. Please forgive me for all my sins and come into my mind, heart, body and spirit today. Thank-you for becoming a sacrifice for the forgiveness of my, as well as all of mankind’s sins. Please show me and lead me to ALL your divine truth(s) in the bible, help me to follow after you and to give up my old sinful lifestyle and help me to preach to others about the “good news” of Salvation as often as I’m able to. Amen”.

And then after you say that prayer and BELIEVE it in your heart to be true, get baptized in the name of Jesus Christ IMMEDIATELY or shortly thereafter (full water immersion baptism), repent of your sins/give up your old sinful lifestyle and obey Jesus’s teachings in the bible and take steps to do so, sit back and take note of God working in your life, for the better. Coming to Jesus Christ can release you from the sinful bondage you’ve been held under, up to this point in life.

It’s not something you’ll have to think about or question. It’s something you’ll know. You will KNOW with 100% conviction that you are “saved” and will go into eternity WITH Jesus & that all your sins are forgiven (provided that you REMAIN 100% right with Jesus Christ, ofcourse – as, you can’t get “saved” in the name of Jesus Christ today and decide tomorrow you want to forsake the bible altogether and still expect to get saved) and that you’re sealed in the name of God. And a great feeling of peace & joy will come over you and your spirit shall be satisfied.

“For God so loved the world that he gave His only begotten Son [Jesus Christ], that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life” – John 3:16

But beware: As soon as you become a “new Christian”, Satan will FIGHT LIKE *HECK* for your soul, and will try to spiritually attack you, right and left. And he will oftentimes do this through people that are close to you (friends, family members, peers, coworkers). He’ll try to sow the seed of “doubt” in your mind.

He’ll try to get you to lust, kill, steal, be envious, prideful, angry, bitter, resentful, & full of doubt, fear and hate. So be prepared for that. Read the bible and pray in Jesus’s name, daily. And then the Devil won’t be able to touch you, spiritually or otherwise. He might be able to TEMPT YOU but he won’t be able to win over you, so long as you CONTINUE to obey Jesus Christ all the days of your life and to TRUST Jesus Christ (that means, to have FAITH in him and faith IN the fact that he’s the ONLY one IN THE ENTIRE UNIVERSE who can save you & the ONLY one you can go to for Salvation!)

“Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved” – Acts 4:12

Who Can Name The 10 Commandments?

I saw an episode of David Letterman or Jay Leno a few years back where he and his crew went out on the streets and asked people if they knew what the 10 commandments were. Most people could only name two of them and one person didn’t even know what the 10 commandments even were!

They then went on to ask about the 7 deadly sins and most people had never even heard of the 7 deadly sins, either (and I’ll admit that even “I” didn’t know about the 7 deadly sins until watching the movie “Seven”, starring Brad Pitt).

1. Thou shalt have no other gods before me (this includes movie stars, athletes, musicians, money, etc.)

2. Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image (a carved image of Jesus Christ or a statue of the virgin Mary for example)

3. Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain (saying “Jesus Christ” or “God” in any type of sentence that is NOT talking about God, including say “J!”, “J Christ!” or “God D-It!”)

4. Remember the Sabbath Day to keep it holy (the actual Jewish Sabbath is Saturday and is from Friday sundown to Saturday sundown).

5. Honor thy mother and thy father (respect their advice, age and heritage)

6. Thou shalt not kill (that includes killing your self, since your body is supposed to be your “temple”, therefore, you mustn’t do anything to defile it).

7. Thou shalt not commit adultery (even to lust after someone is to commit adultery in your heart!)

8. Thou shalt not steal (even if it’s just 1 penny or something as simple as a paper clip, etc.!)

9. Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbor (no lying, cheating on a test, etc.)

10. Thou shalt not covet anything that is thy neighbor’s (no envying of things/talents that belong to others)

The 7 Deadly Sins (evident in the Brad Pitt movie “Seven”):

1. Greed (think ENRON scandal or making ethanol fuel out of corn, when millions of people across the world are STARVING!)

2. Sloth (laying around, laziness, not doing anything for days on end)

3. Envy (wanting what others have: the ONLY exception is “righteous envy” is which a person wants to have more faith in God)

4. Gluttony (over-eating)

5. Pride (thinking our gifts in life – be it writing, painting, etc. are from ourselves and not God)

6. Lust (looking at someone in a sexual manner, outside of marriage)

7. Wrath (severe anger and/or hating God or hating someone in general without cause)

And in the following video, it would “seem” as though they are “having a party” at mocking the  7 deadly sins…….

And back in the day, the ancient Jewish people had over 600+ ordinances that they were expected to comply with (including Kosher dietary laws, temple laws & regulations, etc.) The 10 commandments were SEPARATE from the 600 or so “ordinances”. The 10 commandments were written by God himself and given to Moses on tablets while Moses was the one who wrote the 600+ ordinances, as ordained by God. And the 7 deadly sins are a summary of the sins addressed in Jesus’s Sermon on the Mount in the New Testament, book of Matthew, chapters 5 to 7.

The Frailty of Life: Our Eternal Destiny

Life is short. One never really knows what day or hour one is going to die. Death is something that comes to us all. With the most recent deaths of not only Michael Jackson, age 50, but also of Billy Mays (the Oxi-clean guy) who’s ALSO age 50, it only serves to remind me about how short life is and how we have to be grateful for every moment of life that we have.

Looking back, as a Christian, I wish I would’ve prayed more for Michael Jackson and Billy Mays to believe and call upon the name of Jesus. Their respective fates are now sealed for eternity (be it eternal life in Paradise with Jesus Christ or eternal condemnation in the “fire that never quenches”) and there’s no turning back. Many people say that Jesus Christ won’t send people to hell and/or eternal condemnation in the lake of fire and/or that Jesus Christ isn’t the ONLY way to eternal life/salvation. But they are wrong. For it CLEARLY states in the bible in John 14:6 [gospel of John, chapter 14, verse 6] “I [Jesus Christ] am the way, the truth, and the light. No-one comes to the father [eternal life/salvation] except by me [Jesus Christ].”

So really, it’s that simple. All one has to do to have eternal life is to BELIEVE in the Lord Jesus Christ with all their hearts, souls and minds and that he died on the cross over 1976+ years ago to save mankind from sin, that he rose from the dead 3 days later (bible passages and even NON-Christian historical accounts prove this), that he ascended back up to heaven just 40 days later to be on the right hand throne of God Almighty and to ask the Lord Jesus to forgive them of their sins, get baptized in the name of Jesus Christ, repent [stop doing] of their sins, and CONTINUE to follow the commands of Jesus Christ [the 10 commandments, the Sermon the Mount teachings in Matthew chapters 5 to 7, + ALL new Testament teachings) until their dying day and they’re SAVED and assured a permanent spot in eternal paradise. It’s that simple.

It’s SO easy and SO simple that people often overlook it and think there’s some type of hidden catch….that they have to go to church every Sunday or be a nun in a convent…… But alas, there’s no hidden catch. That’s just it. God reaches out to ANYBODY and EVERYBODY who will listen. It doesn’t matter WHAT a person has done in their life up to that point; they can STILL be saved in the name of Jesus Christ! [And please keep in mind, it’s NOT going to church every week that saves a person’s soul, it’s the Lord Jesus Christ HIMSELF that saves a person’s soul and the only soul that is truly saved in Jesus Christ’s name is a soul who FOLLOWS and OBEYS Jesus’s commandments in the bible and TRUSTS him, no matter what!]

All people who have ever lived on the Earth will someday face the Judgment Seat of God/Jesus Christ. And as each person stands before God/Jesus Christ and is forced to give a full account of their lives, what will they say? If the Lord Jesus Christ were to ask them “why should I let you live with me in eternal Paradise?”, how would they respond?

For those who die without giving their hearts & lives to Jesus, the Judgment Seat of God/Jesus Christ will be terrifying. But for those who put their faith, trust and love in Jesus Christ, the Judgment Seat of God/Jesus Christ will be glorious, as they shall receive eternal rewards in Paradise.

Some people may say that it’s “cruel” for such a “loving” God to send people to hell and/or eternal condemnation in the lake of fire for not believing in him. But truth be told, the Lord Jesus Christ gives people many, many, MANY chances, miracles and circumstances throughout one’s lifetime to come to a saving knowledge of him; even sending some people back to life after dying, in order to give certain people a 2nd chance to believe in him & serve him all the days of one’s life. [But who’s to say that you’ll be one of the “2nd chancers” after you die? You DON’T know that…..Jesus may just decide to send you on to hell, without giving you a 2nd chance on Earth first…..SO BEWARE! Don’t say I didn’t warn you].

So IF, after giving the sacrificial form of himself in human form [Jesus Christ] over 1976+ years ago as a “payment” for people’s sins, and IF after giving people many, many, MANY chances to believe in him, a person still chooses NOT to believe, then that is NOT Jesus Christ’s fault, (as Jesus Christ tried millions of times to get through to that particular person, right?) as Jesus Christ is a righteous judge and righteous God. He tried to save that person but that person REFUSED to listen or be saved.

Then again, God is not this hateful/wrathful God that people try to make him out to be. He’s a just and loving God. That’s WHY he gives so many chances, miracles and circumstances in people’s lives for them to come to a saving knowledge of him. Some people ask “well, if Jesus already payed the price for my sins, why should I have to worry about going to hell and/or eternal condemnation in the ‘lake of fire’?” Well, Jesus Christ IS a loving, forgiving God to be sure. But he’s also a holy, divine, RIGHTEOUS God. At times, he is also a God of WRATH. Just like every human being has an angry side and a not angry side, so it is with God! And BECAUSE he’s so righteous, so holy, so pure, so true, he can’t let ANY unrepentant sin (spiritual uncleanliness) into Paradise, someday.

However, when we put our faith, trust and love into Jesus Christ and Jesus Christ ALONE, we receive the FREE GIFTS of eternal life and salvation. All WE have to do is pick up the free gifts and say “thank-you God, for presenting the gift of Jesus Christ to me”. Because if we don’t ever pick up our free gifts and say “thank-you”, then how can we ever receive our free gifts? Our free gifts of Salvation and eternal life…….All just for believing in Jesus Christ as Lord & savior, repenting/giving up/stop doing our sins, getting baptized in the name of Jesus Christ, following the 10 commandments and ALL teachings of Jesus Christ in the New Testament (such as Sermon the Mount teachings in Matthew chapters 5-7, etc.), spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ to as many who will listen and praying for forgiveness of our sins. It’s SO simple. Yet, SO overlooked in today’s world.

I pray in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ that God will bless each and every single one of you today & open up your eyes, heart, body and spirit to his eternal truth & show you that what I’m saying is true. Amen.

The New Testament: Trash or Treasure?

Many of us have had the green New Testaments passed out to us lots of times on college campuses, etc. And many of us were probably “annoyed” at the people attempting to pass them out and didn’t bother to read them. “Why bother to read it when I already know what’s in there?” or “Who cares?” are probably the sentiments that many of us felt, as we put it down somewhere to collect dust. But those of us who DID decide to read it, found a wealth of information in there, a guide to everyday life, and the ONLY way to get to Paradise/God’s Millennial Kingdom!

Almost every human emotion/life situation imaginable is “indexed” in the introductory pages, with bible passages that deal with each one. And not only that but it offers a much more intimate view of the “Jesus Christ” that the whole world’s been talking about, all throughout history. Don’t listen to how some preacher or televangelist talks about Jesus, get to know Jesus himself through his own words, written in the New Testament! The New Testament is the gospel of Jesus Christ and talks about the ONLY way to get to *eternal paradise*.

Maybe you didn’t know that Jesus Christ is the ONLY way to eternal life/eternal paradise or that all of those who *choose* not to believe in him are headed for an eternal punishment in the fire. Maybe you think a “good God” could never send someone to hell and/or eternal condemnation in the fire or that you don’t *need* or WANT God in your life. Maybe you’re on the fence right now about rather you believe in God or not. Or maybe you just don’t believe in A god or God, period. Well, no matter what your personal situation is in life right now, I would STRONGLY encourage you to read the New Testament, front to back, as soon as possible!

Maybe you threw out all your copies of the New Testament or don’t know or remember where you put it. Well, it’s time to take it back out and start reading it. The next time someone hands you a New Testament or you see one laying around, HANG ONTO IT FOR DEAR LIFE! Because trust me, if the ONLY thing standing between you and eternal punishment in the fire is a small *un-read* copy of the New Testament, you’d read it, wouldn’t you?

But you can’t just read the words of Jesus Christ. You must also BELIEVE them, in order to be saved….. And well, maybe you’re struggling with the idea of Jesus Christ (& consequently, Lazarus) being able to be resurrected from the dead by God. Or maybe you don’t believe Jesus Christ is an actual, real, historical person. Well, if you don’t believe in A god or God/Jesus Christ, NOW is the time to *pray to believe*.

There are SEVERAL ancient, historical NON-CHRISTIAN sources which confirm Jesus’s crucifixion, resurrection, and consequent ascension to heaven. You can check them out at the following website:

http://factreal.wordpress.com/2009/04/13/nonchristians-prove-jesus-resurrection/

There is not much time left.  If you’ve never read or heard about the book of Revelation in the New Testament, **NOW** is the time to read it. Revelation chapter 20 verse 15……

“And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire” Revelation 20:15 (New Testament, book of Revelation, chapter 20, verse 15)

And yes, it may seem somewhat cruel that God would send people to hell and/or eternal punishment in everlasting fire for not believing in Jesus Christ OR for freely choosing to REJECT Jesus Christ and his free gifts of Salvation/forgiveness of sins and Eternal Life/eternity with God someday in Paradise. However, it’s NOT Jesus’s fault if someone CHOOSES to reject him and go to eternal condemnation when they die. For WHILE they were still living, he gave them all the warning in the world, warning after warning after warning, and they JUST didn’t want to listen! So how is that Jesus’s fault?  Answer: it’s not. For those poor folks simply CHOSE to go there, to eternal condemnation, by rejecting the one and only begotten Son of God (Jesus Christ).

Jesus Christ was crucified for OUR sins, each and every single one of us!  So whomever believes in Jesus Christ, acknowledges their sins to Jesus Christ, prays for forgiveness of their sins, gets baptized in the name of Jesus Christ, repents (that means, give up) their sins, preaches about Jesus Christ/Salvation to others and continues to serve Jesus Christ until the day they die, Jesus Christ is going to say to/of that person: “His lord said unto him, Well done, good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord” [Matthew 25:23]

But whomever does NOT accept Jesus Christ’s free gift of Salvation, he will still give them many, many, MANY chances throughout their LIFETIMES (be it short or long) to *accept the gift*. [Which, by the way, we never know when we’re going to die. It could be 5 minutes from now or 50 years from now. Therefore, we NEVER truly know how much time left we have on this Earth!] But if they don’t accept the gift by the end of their life, (the gift that God worked so hard to give them to begin with), and don’t appreciate it, then God has “no choice” but to eternally punish that person, as he is a fair and just God.

And not only that but there will also be many “Christians” themselves who end up going to eternal condemnation because while living on the Earth, they proclaimed the name of Jesus Christ, but did NOT follow what he said in the bible. Of such “Christians”, the Lord Jesus will say “And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity” [Matthew 7:23]

The bible SAYS that all non-believers, if they do not accept Jesus Christ into their heart before they die, repent of their sins, pray for forgiveness of their sins, get baptized in the name of Jesus Christ, etc., will be sent to eternal punishment in everlasting fire. So God can’t undo what he says he will do. If he did, he wouldn’t be God. Think about it.

The New Testament (front to back), King James Version (the ORIGINAL King James Version, NOT the New King James Version! Why? Because the NIV, NLT, NASB & New King James Versions are BAD TRANSLATIONS that will mislead and misguide you as they have THOUSANDS of word changes in them, even going so far as to change the total CONTEXT of alot of words!)

Please. I beg of you FROM THE DEPTHS OF MY SOUL! If not for God & your eternal salvation, then read it for ME. Your very soul depends on it. MARK MY WORDS.

God of “Many Rules”?

To many Christians (and even non-Christians alike), God can seem like a God of “many rules”. And at times, those rules can feel overwhelming to live by, to say the least. It can even seem at times that God doesn’t want anyone to have fun in life.

But think of a parent who’s trying to properly raise their child. Should they just let their child run amok and do whatever the heck they want? Ofcourse not.

So it is with God.

God is like a “loving parent” and we are like his “children”. He has to give us rules to live by, in order to sustain us and guide us in the proper way of living & for spiritual growth. Otherwise, with no rules to live by, we wouldn’t be here long, as a human race.

Remember that all of our laws are pretty much based on God’s laws. So without God’s laws to inspire our own human laws, where would we be, law-wise? That’s right. We’d have no laws. And everybody would’ve killed each other off by now. But because we have laws based off God’s laws, we are able to have some sort of “order” in the world.

Imagine if you were God and created a human race. And lets say that you valued/loved your creation very, very much but the humans decided that they’d rather disobey you, attack you and talk smack on you instead, with a constant chorus of “You suck!”, “We hate you!”, “You’re no good!” and “Screw YOU!”, etc.

You’d probably feel pretty slighted and ticked off and fed up with those darned things after awhile, huh?

But what if you decided to put YOURSELF into the form of a human and took it upon yourself, to show them firsthand how “pained” you felt every time they disobeyed you and talked smack on you, by allowing them to torture and kill you (for the forgiveness of their sins), but then, having the power to be resurrected just 3 days later.

Some of the humans would say “wow” and would start to behave immediately but others would STILL continue to behave badly. And sure, you as their loving, patient, kind creator would give them LOTS of chances to repent of their disobedience. But if they didn’t? You’d have no choice but to discard them, upon their deaths and to discard them for eternity…..

For what good are they to you if they give you no reverence, whatsoeever? They had their chance, they didn’t take it, so it’s not your fault, right? You tried. And you can’t take them back OUT of the fire of condemnation because all they’re going to do is curse you and hate you even more. Plus, that also wouldn’t be fair to the humans who were “righteous” humans the whole time and/or that “became” righteous humans.

Jesus Christ not only hates sin but he hates the “effects” of sin. Jesus Christ hates severe alcoholism, drug use, gambling, materialism, lust, greed, hate, pornography, etc. because of what it does to people (physically, psychologically, spiritually, emotionally, financially….) He’s not just saying “don’t do this because I don’t like it”…He’s saying “don’t do this, because it’s not good for you, in several different ways”. As our divine creator who made all things in the universe, God the Heavenly Father wants what’s best for us. If he didn’t, he wouldn’t be God.

And once more, Jesus Christ is not a God who wants to take fun out of life (contrary to popular belief in today’s secular world). He went with his parents to celebrate the Passover (a huge, 3-day long Jewish festival) with his cousin John when he was 12, he likely had a jovial time at the wedding in Canaan (before/after turning the water into wine), plus also likely joked around sometimes with his friends/apostles.

Not to mention that Jesus Christ has given each and every one of us a talent, gift, hobby or “calling” in life. Not only to make our lives somewhat enjoyable but also for us to use OUR gifts/talents in life to glorify HIM! For example, a person who’s a great writer…..Jesus Christ gave them that gift for a purpose so that they’d use their writing to glorify HIM! Or perhaps a person is a good painter, photographer, etc. We are to use OUR gifts/talents for Jesus Christ’s glory!

Unfortunately, some people out there decide to take it upon themselves to give THEMSELVES the glory for their “talents” instead of giving Jesus Christ the glory and that’s where they come into some major spiritual trouble and are in MOST danger of a “spiritual fall”! Because remember Proverbs 16:18 which states: “Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall”

So please. I beg of you. Use your gifts for Jesus Christ’s glory and see in return how God the heavenly Father in turn uses your “servitude” towards him to also bless YOU as well! 😉

God’s Wrath vs. God’s Love/Forgiveness

You know how there are two sides to every coin? Well, there are also two sides to God. Many churches today only preach about God’s loving, forgiving grace and how “God is love”. And while God IS love, many churches of today also forget to mention something called “God’s Righteous/Divine Wrath”. It was apparent many times throughout the Old Testament and even a few times in the New Testament (after God had taken the fleshly form of Jesus Christ).

But the difference between God’s anger and our anger, is this: God’s Anger is righteous, while our anger is not. Why? Our anger (in human vanity) accompanies sin but God’s anger does not. If, for example, God is mad because most men/women in today’s times aren’t chasing after righteousness, that is classified as divine anger. But if we ourselves get angry over someone else’s un-righteousness, then our anger is sinful since we are technically judging others before we judge ourselves.

God is sovereign and created us all, therefore, he has no “need” to be measured up to anyone or anything else. AND he only wants what’s best for us. Therefore, God’s Anger is Righteous!

There were honestly many times throughout my lifetime when I was able to feel God’s love (a word of encouragement from a friend, a kind stranger who smiled at me at the grocery store, many good miracles happening in the news, the peace in my soul that comes from knowing that I’m saved in Jesus’s name, etc.)

But since “all have sinned and have fallen short of the glory of God” [Romans 3:23], that means that I, along with everyone else on this Earth, am not perfect. There have also been times in my life where I have made God VERY righteously angry.

In the year 2000 or 2001, me and a Catholic friend Sarah were just hanging at my place, chillaxing on a cloudy/rainy Friday afternoon. I was in the process of moving some furniture around and had my old bed and bed frame out in my living room. Suddenly, (or so I thought), I had this funny idea. I put myself in front of the bed frame and then held it up to either side to mimic Jesus on the cross. I said to my friend: “dudey, dudey, why have you forsaken me?” thinking it was just a funny, harmless joke. Sarah thought it was funny and turned around and did the same thing.

Later on that day, Sarah and I discovered that it was none other than…….GOOD FRIDAY!! And even though there was no violent thunderstorm or lightning or fire coming down from heaven or anything like that just then, after we both performed what we thought was our “harmless joke”, I pretty much knew in the depths of my soul somehow that God was mad at us. The only question was, how mad?

We both apologized to the Lord on the spot (while still thinking in the back of our minds that it was still a harmless joke).

Later on that night, I saw something I’ll never forget, so help me God! I was awakened by some EXTREMELY loud crackles in the sky, followed by one of THE MOST violent thunderstorms I had ever seen in ALL MY LIFE! I looked outside and there was this HUGE, white ball of light at the top of the sky and out of this huge ball of light was this thick, neon green lightning bolt. And the huge ball of light kept moving around but stayed in a fixed, stationary position in the sky every time it “stop/paused” to bring about the HUGE strike from the neon green lightning bolt, protruding down OUT of it! There was no doubt in my mind; this was the Lord’s SEVERE WRATH upon me and my friend for what we thought was our *harmless joke*.

I looked out my window and the thunder and lightning bolt kept getting closer and closer to my bedroom window!!! I LITERALLY thought it was the End of the World! I cowered in fetal position and hid underneath my blanket and started crying hysterically and praying for it all to end! And then I thought I heard three loud words coming from somewhere: “D O N ‘ T  M O C K  M E!” And I got even more scared!

And every time I thought “why are you getting so angry for, Lord? It wasn’t that bad, it was just a harmless, innocent joke! I didn’t truly MEAN anything by it! You KNOW that! Give me a break!” the lightning and thunder would go BBAAMM, BBAAMM, BBAAAMM and get closer and closer to my window! I truly thought I was gonna be struck to death with that neon green lightning bolt and DIE! I had never been more scared in my LIFE! And yet, every time I thought it WAS pretty bad what me and her had said, the *storm* would start to lessen a bit & start to move away from my window!

I was absolutely utterly terrified, worried that the Lord was gonna strike me down with that huge neon green lightning bolt any second! Once I realized how wrong I was in what I said and did earlier that day, ESPECIALLY on a “Good Friday” of all days, I just felt SO bad for what I said, that I told God that he was right and that I deserved to die for my misdeed against him; against the holy Son who saved me from death when I was younger!

And slowly but surely, the *storm* started to recede away. I saw the neon green lightning bolt being sucked back up into the sky, *into* the huge white ball of light and then the huge ball of light completely disappeared in the sky. The next thing I know, there was a peaceful breeze blowing outside. Even though I definitely did NOT deserve it, I felt as that was the Lord’s way of communicating to me that he had forgiven me after my SEVERE repentance/change of heart but to also remind me to never sin in that way ever again, less something worse should happen to me!

And I felt the Lord’s love for me SO strongly then, at that moment in time of the peaceful breeze blowing outside. Just like I also felt the total WEIGHT of my sin and how truly AWFUL it had been! [Even looking back to that, this very DAY, I’m STILL ashamed of my sin that day and of how I didn’t truly realize/recognize at that time that making ANY type of religious “joke” (EVEN if the “joke” is not meant AT ALL to mock Christ/the bible/the biblical prophets in ANY type of way) DOES in fact mock Christ/the bible/the biblical prophets. SO THINK TWICE BEFORE MAKING YOUR NEXT “BIBLICAL JOKE”. OR BETTER YET…….DON’T **EVEN** MAKE ANY BIBLICAL JOKES **AT ALL**!]

The next afternoon, Sarah came over to my place to hang out again and she asked me “dude, did you experience that nasty, violent t-storm last night or was it just me, man?” And I was relieved to know that I wasn’t the only one who had experienced that! But anyways, we were standing there in my yard animatedly talking about it when my neighbor the next house over said to us: “STORM? Ha! What storm? There was no storm, believe me, I would’ve heard one had there been one!” Her and I both immediately looked at each other like “oh my gosh! It really WAS the Lord! D U D E!”

“For the Wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness” – Romans 1:18

But needless to say, I have definitely learned my lesson about making any types of “jokes” about Jesus and I haven’t DARED tried [even remotely] to evoke God’s Wrath since then and I’d STRONGLY recommend you people didn’t, either.

Remember: God is like a parent. He is a loving, patient parent but he CAN lose his patience at times, when we, his created children, are disobedient.

And all the people that God will send to hell and/or eternal condemnation in the flames someday are those “people” if you will, who no matter HOW many times God tried to warn and/or save them, REFUSED to be warned/saved. So remember that.

Why Did God Allow “Sin” Into the World?

Many people ask why God even put the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil in the Garden to begin with, if he didn’t want Adam & Eve eating of the fruit from it. The answer is that he wanted to give them, like his angels in heaven, free will; the chance to CHOOSE to love him willfully, rather than to be their *dictator*, if you will….

It’s also a part of WHY he allowed sin to come into the world…….So people would have free will and could CHOOSE if they wanted to love God and follow LIFE/LIGHT (a life of obedience to God) or darkness/spiritual depravity (a life of disobedience to God). Think of parents and their children for example. Parents don’t FORCE their kids by sheer force to love them or be good 24/7. Yet, if their children are bad, they are punished. And if they are permanently bad beyond repair, and CHOOSE to be, the parents throw the kid out and disown them. So it is with God.

“So how DID sin come into the world?”, one might ask.

In the beginning of time, in the Old Testament, in the bible [GENESIS 2:18-25 to GENESIS 3:1], we read about how “sin” came into the Earth. God made Adam from the dust of the ground and from one of Adam’s ribs, he made Eve. God said that Adam & Eve could eat from any tree of fruit in the Garden of Eden (Paradise) except from the fruit of the Tree of the Knowledge of Good & Evil. God said that IF either of them ate the fruit of that Tree, that they would both surely die.

One day as Eve was near the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil, a serpent approached Eve and tempted her to eat the fruit from the forbidden tree. He told Eve that God wanted to keep the best things away from her and Adam and that if her and Adam ate the fruit from the tree, that they surely wouldn’t die, only that they would have their eyes opened and be LIKE unto God, having the knowledge between Good and Evil. So Eve ate of the forbidden fruit and gave some to Adam to eat, too. [GENESIS 3:4-6]

When God came through the Garden later that night and called “Adam, where art thou?”, Adam replied “I hid because I was naked and I was afraid”. God said to Adam: “why is thou naked? Hast thou eaten from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, the tree of which I told you not to eat?” But immediately Adam tried to blame Eve by saying “the woman that thou hast given me, she gave me of the fruit and I ate”. Then God turned to Eve and said “what is this evil thing you have done?” and Eve replied “the serpent tricked me into eating the fruit and I ate”. [GENESIS 3:11-13]

Then God turned to the serpent and said “Because thou has done this, thou will be cursed of all domestic animals and of all wild beasts. Thou shall crawl on thy belly and eat dust all thou’s life. Also, I will put enmity [hatred] between you and the woman; also between your offspring and her offspring; he will crush your head and you will crush his heel”
[GENESIS 3:14-15]

To the woman (Eve) God said “I will greatly increase your pangs in childbearing; in pain you shall bring forth children, yet your desire shall be for your husband, and he shall rule over you” [GENESIS 3:16]

To the man (Adam) God said “Because you have listened to the voice of your wife, and have eaten of the tree about which I commanded you ‘You shall not eat of it’, cursed is the ground because of you; in toil you shall eat of it all the days of your life. Thorns and thistles it shall bring forth for you; and you shall eat the plants of the field. By the sweat of your face you shall eat bread until you return to the ground, for out of you were taken and you are dust, and to dust you shall return” [GENESIS 3:16-19]

God threw them out from the Garden of Eden and put a flaming sword in every direction to guard the path to the tree of life. [GENESIS 3:24]

Later on, Adam and Eve had two sons, Cain and Abel. Abel was a sheppard while Cain was a tiller of the fields. One day, Cain brought an offering to God from the soil while Abel brought an offering from the firstlings of his flocks, especially from their fat portions.

God was pleased with Abel’s offering but not Cain’s and so Cain became angry, with his face downcast. God said to Cain “Why is thou angry and why is thy face downcast? If thou does right, will there not be a lifting up? But if those misbehaves, sin is crouching at the door; its intention is towards you, and you must master it” [GENESIS 4:5].

Not much longer after that, the biblical account continues and we read in the bible of Cain “luring” his brother out into the field and then killing him, DUE to his total jealousy and rage that God accepted Abel’s offering to God on the altar of praise/thanksgiving but not Cain’s! God then later came back at Cain and said where is thy brother Abel?” to which Cain responded “I know not, am I my brother’s keeper?” to which God responded back “Cain, your brother’s blood cries out to me from the ground!……….”

God then proceeded to punish Cain by making him an outcast and a vegabond, etc., Cain cried out to God and said “my punishment is more than I can bear, every man seeing me will try to kill me, and thou hast driven me out from my people!” God then had a little “mercy” on Cain and placed a special mark on him so that whoever tried to kill him wouldn’t be successful in doing so, is sort’ve the jist I get from that. And Cain later moves on OUT OF THE PRESENCE OF THE LORD (and remember, this is very significant, here) and moves to land of Nod with his wife. [And yes: I believe God “spliced” more people from Cain and Seth on until he didn’t need to “splice” them anymore].

So that’s where the two accounts of “original sin” and “death” come in, as it pertains to the Earth (Eve, the first woman, eating of the forbidden fruit and then giving some to Adam to eat and then later on of Cain killing his brother Abel). And so it has been ever since (humans being sinners).

So what is sin, essentially? And why did God allow for it to come into the world?

Sin is technically classified as anything that *separates us from God*. When Adam and Eve ate the forbidden fruit God told them not to and when Cain killed his brother Abel…. not only were they condemning themselves to die (for if they had never sinned, they would’ve lived forever in Paradise with God), but they were also *separating themselves* from God since God is a holy, pure God and can not look upon any *sin*. And remember that NO human is perfect, save for God. “For all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God” Romans 3:23

Lets take a look at the 10 Commandments & other sins to get a good idea of what God calls “sin”:

10 Commandments:

1. Thou shall have no other gods before me. (This doesn’t just apply to “literal” gods other than Elohim {God, the Heavenly Father} but can also be things like money, music, alcohol, drugs, pornography, a celebrity or political leader or basically just ANYTHING that would conceivably make a person love something or someone else more than they love God!)

2. Thou shall not make unto thee any idols or graven images. (Similar to the 1st commandment, this is basically telling us not to worship paintings, pictures, statues, wood carvings, molded/wax images, celebrities [music, tv/movie/radio/internet/sports stars, authors, preachers, money, etc.]

3. Thou shall not take the name of thy Lord in vain. (It’s not just saying G-d it or “J!” or “J Christ!” that can get you in trouble with God but also things like “oh my G-d…”, or “oh G-d…” or “G-d that sucks” or “so help me G-d/G-d as my witness” [spoken in a non-religious context] or “G-d, you’re so rude” [when talking to another person and not God himself] or basically just any SENTENCE in general that uses God in a non-religious, non-humble way).

4. Remember the Sabbath Day to keep it holy. (Ancient BIBLICAL times place the Sabbath Day on Saturday (Friday sundown to Saturday sundown) while CONSTANTINE was wishing to live in harmony with the Pagan Roman Empire, thus declaring the Sabbath Day to be Sun-Day, which Pagans used to worship the SUN, not THE SON of Almighty God! Therefore, Sun-day is a FALSE Sabbath and Friday sundown to Saturday sundown is the TRUE, BIBLICAL SABBATH and is used to served as a SIGN of the “covenant” between God and his people!

Keeping the Sabbath Day holy, however, technically means to not do any work during the Day and to give the full day up to worship God and pray/praise Him for all he’s done for all of mankind and in one’s life, essentially. The 7th day Sabbath is not a “Jewish Sabbath” per say, but rather, it’s a BIBLICAL Sabbath to be observed by ALL of God’s people, not just SOME of God’s people! Cause afterall, think about it: why would the Lord God Almighty himself create in 6 days, then CONSECRATE and make holy the 7th day, only to ALLOW Constantine (a mere human MAN) to CHANGE his holy consecrated 7th day Sabbath from Saturday to Sunday? Answer: He wouldn’t!!!!!!

5. Honor thy Father and thy Mother. (This means to not only respect one’s own parents but to love them unconditionally and respect their parental advice/ancestry/etc.)

6. Thou shall not kill. (Put simply, it means don’t murder other human beings or oneself, accept in cases of self-defense. Jesus said Matthew 5:22-25 that “whoever hates their brother/sister without cause has committed murder in their hearts”. But it can also mean don’t kill animals just for “sport”. This is seen as unclean in God’s eyes).

7. Thou shall not commit adultery. (This means not to have sexual relations with someone who’s married/engaged to someone else OR divorced…..because to remarry with a divorced person is seen as adultery in God’s eyes. And God says in Matthew 5:27-28 that when a man looks at a woman to lust after her or when a woman looks at a man to lust after him, they have committed adultery with that person in their hearts. However, if a spouse dies, then it’s okay to remarry and no sin of adultery has been committed). It also means not to have sex before marriage.

8. Thou shall not steal. (This can literally mean ANYTHING that belongs to someone else, even if it’s just a single penny, pen, piece of writing, etc.)

9. Thou shall not bear false witness against thy neighbor. (In short, don’t lie….no matter how hard it is to tell the truth…..for the Lord God Yahweh (God, the Heavenly Father) hates ALL lies, no matter how small they are and no matter WHAT the reason is. God doesn’t care. Sin is sin to him. He makes no distinction). In the special case of lying to protect one’s feelings, God STILL hates lying. The truth is ALWAYS the best, even if it hurts. It may hurt for awhile, yes, but God is a God of healing. He can heal that person’s hurt. It’s better for a person to know the truth now, rather than to find out the truth later. The truth will hurt SO much more when and if it’s delayed.

10. Thou shall not covet anything that is thy neighbors. (In short, it just simply means don’t be jealous/envious of things/talents/people that belong to someone else. Unless you want to have something like *more faith*. That is the ONLY type of jealousy that I can personally conceive in my mind as being considered as *righteous jealousy* in God’s eyes. All other jealousies or “I wish I had what so and so has” is un-righteousness and sinful.

The only exception I can think of to this would be if someone *lets* another have what they have or once had. Then it’s technically not coveting/envying on that person’s part….? Although the Lord still might not totally like the fact that person A WANTED so badly what belonged to person B, initially……(ESPECIALLY if the “thing” in question was NOT a *righteous thing* such as “more faith”, etc.)……EVEN if person B actually GAVE what they have/had to person A……so be careful, folks! If you’re gonna be “jealous” of anything at all towards anyone, make sure it’s a 100% RIGHTEOUS JEALOUSY such as “Lord, give me more faith like THIS person has” or “Lord, give me the type of faith that King David had!” 😉

Other sins:

1. Sloth – being lazy, doing nothing, laying in bed all day
2. Greed – not giving to the poor or helping others in need, only thinking of one self
3. Pride – putting oneself above others and above God
4. Anger/Wrath – holding grudges/having severe hatred for someone
5. Gluttony – overeating or more than is necessary for one meal

But the truth is, NOBODY is perfect and we are ALL going to fall short of the mark, on these. And God knew that ahead of time. That’s why he made Jesus Christ pay the “penalty” for mankind’s sins on the Cross. So that “through” Jesus Christ, we may believe and our souls may become “clean” in God’s site. For God is a holy, pure God and can’t let any “unforgiven sin” into paradise/the earthly heavenly realm talked about in Revelation chapter 21-22.

However, if we accept Jesus Christ as the Lord & Savior of mankind, pray for forgiveness of our sins, repent of our sins, become IMMEDIATELY full-water baptized in the name of Jesus Christ upon VERY FIRST believing in him (because remember that the people in Jesus’s time got immediately baptized with little or no delay after very first believing in him — which no doubt made their baptism all the more powerful & life-changing), and then CONTINUE to live our lives for Yeshua/Jesus Christ Almighty by APPLYING HIS mandates/commands to OUR everyday lives, we are “made clean” in God’s eyes! We are then forgiven for all of our sins and can enter His Eternal City called “New Jerusalem” [Revelation, chapters 21-22], someday! 😉

“He who believes and is baptized will be saved, but he who not believe will be condemned” [Mark 16:16]
