Okay folks, today we’re gonna talk about a topic that most people have dealt with, either directly or indirectly and that topic is “suicide”. Most recently, a pastor’s wife came out and PUBLICLY declared that his suicide “does not condemn him to hell“. Well, she’s COMPLETELY BIBLICALLY WRONG on that and so I’ve decided to write this post to clear up any confusion on the matter. Lets talk about what THE BIBLE actually has to say about “suicide”: 

“Will ye steal, murder, and commit adultery, and swear falsely, and burn incense unto Baal, and walk after other gods whom ye know not; And come and stand before me in this house, which is called by my name, and say, We are delivered to do all these abominations?” – [Jeremiah 7: 9-10]

In other words, is one gonna KILL THEMSELVES, then come and stand before Almighty God in God’s “holy house”, DURING God’s righteous Eternal Judgement and try to say that they are “OK” to commit the abomination of MURDER (murder of SELF) but are STILL (in THEIR mind, anyways) “worthy enough to enter into the Eternal Paradise of God?”) I think most of us KNOW what Almighty God would say to such a remark: “I NEVER KNEW YOU, DEPART FROM ME, YE WORKER OF INIQUITY!”

“Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? IF ANY MAN DEFILE THE TEMPLE OF GOD, HIM SHALL GOD DESTROY; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are” – 1 Corinthians 3:16-18

In other words, OUR BODIES are the “temple of God” where the Holy Spirit of God resides! THUS, if we do ANYTHING to defile the temple, and I do mean ANYTHING, (and we don’t REPENT of that “sin” before dying or die DURING that sin of “defiling the temple”) the bible says that God will DESTROY that person! OUCH!

“For he that said, Do not commit adultery, said also, Do not kill. Now if thou commit no adultery, yet if thou kill, thou art become a transgressor of the law” – [James 2:11]

In other words, the 6th commandment, as well as the underlined part of James 2:11 says that we are “NOT to kill” (and that INCLUDES the “killing of SELF!”).

“Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, THAT THEY WHICH DO SUCH THINGS SHALL NOT INHERIT THE KINGDOM OF GOD. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, LONGSUFFERING, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law” – Galatians 5: 19-23

In other words, there’s a spiritual warfare going on inside our souls! The “works of the flesh” (eating, drinking, envying, idolatry, physical pleasure/lusts, placing our bodies and our so-called bodily needs “above God”, etc.) and the “fruit of the Spirit” (which is placing our bodies, hearts, souls and mind into SUBJECTION/SUBMISSION TO Christ & his gospel).

And ONE of the “fruits of the Spirit” is something known as LONGSUFFERING. Okay, now what’s “longsuffering?”, someone may ask. Longsuffering means (just as the word says) that you are “prepared to suffer for/in Christ for a LONG TIME, until you take your last NATURAL breath in this life!” Because truth be told, Jesus NEVER said that the spiritual walk with him would be “easy”.

Please remember how the world (as a whole) HATES CHRISTIANS, HATES JESUS and HATES THE BIBLE WITH SUCH A WRITHING UNGODLY PASSION! In fact, Jesus himself said in John 15: 20-22: “Remember the word that I said unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if they have kept my saying, they will keep yours also. But all these things will they do unto you for my name’s sake, because they know not him that sent me. If I had not come and spoken unto them, they had not had sin: but now they have no cloak for their sin” 

“He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son. But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death” – [Revelation 21: 7-8]

“But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved” – [Matthew 24:13]

In other words, Jesus is telling us in those 3 different passages that we MUST endure persecution for HIS namesake! We MUST endure “until the end”. That means, that UNTIL we take our very last dying breath (by means of NATURAL death and NOT suicide, that is), that means we must ENDURE the hardships, the persecutions that COME with “being a born-again Christian in today’s world”. We MUST have/learn “spiritual endurance”. THAT is what it means to become the biblical essence of “longsuffering”.

Therefore, it stands to reason: If he that endures till the End is SAVED, then what happens to him that does NOT endure till the “natural end” of his life? Answer: He (that person) is NOT saved! Once again, Galatians 5:21 states “Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things SHALL NOT inherit the kingdom of God“

It says it right there, plain and simple: Those who MURDER (even those who murder SELF) shall NOT inherit the kingdom of God! FOLKS, IT DOESN’T GET ANY MORE CLEARER THAN THAT!

[[But let me add a short disclaimer here: if one is forced to kill someone in self-defense or to save the life/lives of someone else, there is no condemnation for that person. However, if someone “purposely” murders someone (other than themselves), can they still be forgiven in the name of Jesus – i.e. think abortion, etc.? The answer: yes! If they TRULY repent OF that murder – in their heart & soul – before they take their last dying breath, and BEG Jesus for forgiveness, then yes, they could be forgiven by Jesus. However, Galatians 5:21 is talking about people who “purposely” murder (themselves and/or others) and DON’T REPENT!]] 

But let us keep going, for the sake of those who might try to “argue” with me on this one:

“Be not over much wicked, neither be thou foolish: why shouldest thou die before thy time?” – [Ecclesiastes 7:17]

So in other words, “dying BEFORE our time” is to KILL ONESELF, is to “commit suicide”, in other words. AND PEOPLE SAY THAT SUICIDE ISN’T MENTIONED IN THE BIBLE! HA!

John 8:44 proclaims: “Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it”

In other words, Satan “was a murderer from the beginning”. Therefore, anyone who “murders” (as in, murders on purpose and NOT in self-defense and/or commits suicide by the “killing” of one self), then that person is doing SATAN’S will, NOT Jesus’s will! Make sense, folks?

“But ye denied the Holy One and the Just, and desired a murderer to be granted unto you” – [Acts 3:14]

Like it or not, AS SOON AS YOU DIE FROM KILLING YOURSELF, you’ve A: made yourself your “own god” and thus, consequently B: made SATAN your “god!” That’s WHY suicides can’t go to heaven!

“Shall a man make gods unto himself, and they are no gods?” – [Jeremiah 16:20]

This makes it pretty apparent that WHEN one decides to “extinguish their OWN life”, the life that Almighty God has GIVEN THEM, they, in essence, “become their own god”. But man is NOT God! Man was CREATED by God! Therefore, man has NO RIGHT to “become one’s own god” OR to CHANGE God’s times and laws!

This verse ALSO illustrates how mankind creates many “gods” in their life (money, fortune, fame, etc.) And when those “gods” (who are NOT true “gods”) don’t satisfy, one usually becomes “depressed”. Why? Because WHEN someone makes a “god” (money, fortune, music, fame, etc.), that ALLOWS the demonic spirits the “legal spiritual right” to ENTER into that person’s mind, heart, body and spirit!

And we KNOW from the bible that once demons DO gain a “demonic stronghold” or a “spiritual doorway” by which to enter into a person’s life, they’ll run amok with it! A person will usually get addicted to alcohol, drugs, porn, money, food, or any number of ungodly things once the “demonic spiritual doorway of IDOLATRY” has been opened! But see, that’s the problems, folks: Many people today don’t realize about all the “demonic influences” they’re letting into their life: music, movies, videogames which DEFY CHRIST!

Oftentimes, people that are depressed have somehow allowed IDOLATRY and/or WITCHCRAFT into their life and they don’t even know it! It doesn’t even have to be from ouija boards, tarot cards, fortune telling/horoscopes, gambling or the like. It can just be something as simple as: “Jesus, my needs are more important than YOUR needs, so just deal with it!” A spirit of DEFIANCE!

And once a person OPENS a spiritual doorway, it’s hard to close it, folks! Demons will run amok in a person’s life! If they can’t get a person to commit suicide, they’ll try to get a person addicted to something, instead! And if they can’t get a person addicted to something, they’ll try to get that person hooked on to something else ungodly! Why? So they (the demons) can STILL continue to have their “spiritual stronghold”, their “playground” in a person’s life/heart/mind/body/soul!

The truth is, pastor Stoecklein (if he truly committed suicide, that is) did NOT “endure till the end”. He took his own life! Oh, how my heart GRIEVES for his widow and their 3 children! I mean, it’s one thing if she wants to believe on her own that “Christian suicides” can go to heaven but it’s quite another thing to state PUBLICLY that “Christian suicides can go to heaven!” [JESUS, PLEASE HAVE MERCY ON THIS WOMAN! PLEASE SAVE HER FROM THE DEVIL’S LIES BEFORE IT’S TOO LATE AND SHE OR ONE OF HER SONS TAKES THEIR OWN LIFE, BELIEVING THE LIE THAT “CHRISTIAN SUICIDES GO TO HEAVEN!]

Okay, so now that we know THE TRUTH about “suicide”, BIBLICALLY SPEAKING, what does the bible say is THE KEY to overcoming the very “thought” or “temptation” of it, TO BEGIN WITH? Again, let turn to THE BIBLE and the WRITTEN WORD OF GOD for the answer:

“Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; And having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled. Do ye look on things after the outward appearance? if any man trust to himself that he is Christ’s, let him of himself think this again, that, as he is Christ’s, even so are we Christ’s – 2 Corinthians 10: 5:-7

In other words, “suicidal thoughts” or “thoughts that go AGAINST Christ or AGAINST the bible/Christ’s biblical commands in ANY type of way is a “demonic thought”. The bible says that we have POWER AND AUTHORITY over demons! [Luke 10:17, Romans 16:20, Mark 6:7, etc.] Therefore, we must take ALL THOUGHTS “CAPTIVE”. That means, if we EVER have a thought that goes AGAINST Christ or against His Written Word (The Bible), then we need to HOLD THAT THOUGHT “SPIRITUALLY CAPTIVE”, IMMEDIATELY!

In other words, when we VERY FIRST have a depressive thought, we are to CAST OUT THAT DEMON IN JESUS’S NAME, IMMEDIATELY! We are to boldly and LOUDLY innerly declare: “BY THE BLOOD OF CHRIST, I COMMAND YOU TO LEAVE, YOU’VE GOT NO POWER!”

And that demon might try to come back (or send another demon(s) in its place) the next day, 7 days from now, 7 years from now, 17 years from now, etc. But WHEN it does, just CAST IT OUT IN THE NAME OF JESUS! Eventually, the “suicide/depression” demon(s) will give up and try to move on to somebody else! [But you can always pray in the name of Jesus that whatever person they NEXT try to inhabit will NOT be overcome by them, just for good measure!]

“For we walk by faith, NOT by sight” – 2 Corinthians 5:7

Too many Christians these days are NOT walking by faith! They’re going by what FEELS good, what LOOKS good, what TASTES good, what SMELLS good, what SOUNDS good, what or whom SEEMS interesting! And by NOT walking by FAITH, they’re tripping themselves UP, folks! They’re setting themselves up for a rather UNGODLY FALL OF SUCH WICKED PROPORTIONS!

However, IF we walk by FAITH, instead of by sight, none of the world’s trappings or temptations will “overcome us!” Because walking BY FAITH and IN FAITH, we will simply KNOW that Jesus CAN and WILL give US the power over any and ALL temptations! Now, will we succumb to temptation from time to time?

Yes! Romans 3:23 tells us that nobody’s perfect and everyone’s gonna do a sin that they need to REPENT OF from time to time. But as long as live BY FAITH and in TOTAL SUBMISSION to Christ, the “temptations” and “wiles” of the devil will NOT permanently overtake us! We WILL be able to get back up, dust ourselves off and KEEP FIGHTING THE HOLY FIGHT OF RIGHTEOUSNESS in our lives!

“And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you” – [Philippians 4:7-9]

There in Paul’s letter/sermon to the Philippians, we are told that if we FULLY SUBMIT to Jesus Christ, Jesus Christ WILL be WITH US [so long as we cling to Him/His Written Word, the Bible].  In other words, WHEN you submit to Christ, you will feel PEACE in your spirit and you will simply KNOW that you’re following Christ’s will (which is the most greatest feeling in the world folks, believe me!) There will be no “restlessness of spirit” or the like. Because when you’re FULLY submitted to Christ, the “spirit of restlessness” can find no true root in you!

But again, this is just ONE pastor’s “suicide” in the U.S. most recently, within the last 7? years or so! There’s been several more! The question of WHY remains a mystery….

I mean, what in the Lord’s good name is going on, here? Are some or all of these pastors not truly “born again” the way they claim to the outside world and to their own families? Are they secretly struggling with some mortal sin in private (such as porn, homosexual behavior, drugs, etc.) and they think it would be so much better to take their own life than to admit to Jesus, their families, their congregations all their failures and short-comings?

Do they preach Jesus one day a week, then secretly forsake him the rest of the week and then at some point in their lives no longer feel “worthy” to lead? Is the “pressure” from being a pastor just too much for them? (In that case, why don’t they just step down?) Or worse yet, is it possible that some of these “suicides” weren’t even suicides to begin with but were actually some sort of foul-play/cold-blooded murder? We may never know, folks! Only God knows!

Nevertheless, I think Jesus is sending us ALL (as well as their congregations and their families) a HUGE wake-up call! And I think the wake up call is something like THIS: Christians -as a whole – are NOT as “born again” as they BELIEVE! They – as a whole – are LOST and are NOT truly focusing on Jesus and his gospel! In fact, they’re too focused on “worldly things” (Facebook, social media, Hollywood, “entertainment”, etc. in their heart, mind, body, soul and in their “home!”

And so BECAUSE they’re focused on “worldly things” in their mind, soul and “home”, demonic spirits are “spiritually ALLOWED” to WRECK HAVOC on them and “suicide” is oftentimes the RESULT of that? That’s the “jist” of the message that I’m getting from the Lord on that! 

A little unrepentant sin here, a little unrepentant sin THERE, and over time, it becomes A STRONGHOLD! Instead of turning to Jesus for salvation, some of these pastors waited until their unrepentant sin became SO BAD, that they were nearly powerless to overcome it! If they had just TRULY cried out to Jesus in their LAST DESPERATE HOUR OF NEED, Jesus would’ve heard them! He hears the prayers of ALL his faithful, no matter how “bad” that person had been, up until that point!

If they TRULY cry out to Jesus like they never have before, Jesus will save them! But, for whatever reason, these pastors didn’t! They did NOT cry out to Jesus in their “last hour”, thus, they GAVE UP! They did NOT “endure till the End” like Jesus commands us to do! How sad! These pastors are, sadly enough, setting a VERY poor example to others about what it means to “endure till the End!” 

Now true, them being “pastors” and all, I’m sure the demonic spirits were ON em’, attacking them morning, noon and night, night and day, 24/7, 365! But ya know what these pastors FAILED to realize? They failed to realize that THE REASON they were being attacked by these demonic spirits so viciously is BECAUSE they were preaching the Good News of Jesus Christ! Satan FEARED them! Satan feared what POWER they might hold and all the GOOD DEEDS they might further do for the kingdom of God! And for THAT very reason, SATAN WANTED THEM GONE! 

Now RIGHT THERE is where many “Christians” are getting theologically and spiritually tripped up! They think to themselves: “Now, wait a minute! I KNOW that Satan wanted my pastor’s soul real bad, BECAUSE my pastor was so effective for the kingdom of God!” But then they DECEIVE THEMSELVES when they say things like: “But I KNOW that God won’t let Satan take his soul, as my pastor’s already done SO MANY good deeds for the kingdom of God!”

But  yet, that poor Christian is overlooking ONE thing: By “killing oneself” and “becoming one’s own god”, one has taken Jesus’s power & authority AWAY from him and attempted to take it upon HIM/HERSELF……he/she’s given Satan THE GREEN LIGHT to take his/her soul away, after all those many years of “spiritually fighting Satan head-on!”

In fact, THE MOMENT they took their own life and succeeded, all their “faith” and “good works” was for NAUGHT! And I’m sure in SOME of those cases, their souls were standing there, watching the people who “found them” and at that exact moment, I think many of them realized they very likely were NOT going to heaven and were likely DESPERATELY asking Jesus for a chance to come back, but Jesus likely quoted to them some of the passages above in response! Why? Because they (a soul who believed in Jesus Christ) cried out to Jesus AFTER their last dying breath but NOT BEFORE! 

Plus lets think about this, folks! Lets get down to brass tax, here! What POINT is it to have “faith in Jesus” but then, to later GIVE UP ON JESUS AND TAKE ONE’S OWN LIFE, AS IF JESUS HAS NO POWER OR AUTHORITY TO HELP ONE OVERCOME THAT WHICH MADE THEM OFF THEMSELVES IN THE FIRST PLACE? Think about it, folks! 

I hope this post has both enlightened and informed those who are thinking about taking their own life……and has shown you, both theologically and rationally why suicide is NOT the answer! In fact, it’s a HELLISH ETERNAL SOLUTION FOR A *TEMPORARY PROBLEM!* Jesus created the universe and the heavens with just the mere sound of his voice: (i.e. “Let there be light!”) So do you REALLY think Jesus is gonna create the whole entire UNIVERSE from scratch, but then, scratch his head in confusion over how to help YOU overcome the thing(s) in life that are making YOU want to kill yourself? Think about that one for awhile, folks! (JESUS WILL HEAR YOUR PRAYERS! CRY OUT TO HIM *NOW* BEFORE IT’S TOO LATE FOR YOU!!!!!)

And to the families of the pastors, you have my MOST SEVERE CONDOLENCES! I know this time is definitely not easy for ANY of you and I pray that Jesus Christ will shine his heavenly strength upon you and all your loves ones at this time! I pray that Jesus will give you FAITH THAT ENDURES ALL THINGS, as well as inner healing, since you guys will most definitely need it at this time! I pray that all of you will CRY OUT TO JESUS IN YOUR DESPERATE TIME(S) OF NEED and that you WON’T EVER, EVER GIVE UP ON JESUS, FOR JESUS SURE AS “HECK” won’t give up on any of YOU, just so long as you NEVER permanently give up on JESUS!
